To mark 10 years of collaboration, we recently launched the exhibition, ‘Facing Change’, capturing the real-life changes experienced by those who have been supported by projects funded through the Government of Ireland and Genio over the past decade. Watch the launch video here for a taster of the event. It opened to the public in the Gallery of Photography, Dublin 10th – 14th April 2019 and will visit Cork, Donegal and Westmeath later in 2019. Further details will be published shortly.

The exhibition features 10 portraits of inspiring people from the four corners of Ireland, from a variety of backgrounds and across ages and genders. They have all been supported to overcome personal challenges related to mental health, disability, homelessness and dementia and to have more control over their own lives and live in the community. The portraits were taken by Ruth Medjber whose work has been exhibited extensively in Ireland as well as internationally.

To coincide with the exhibition we have also published the learnings and impact from our collaboration with Government over the past ten years.

The exhibition also features 10 short films produced by Sam Whelan-Curtin and Fiona Murphy featuring individuals and families who share their personal experiences with disability, mental health and dementia.

The exhibition opened to the public in the Gallery of Photography, Meeting House Square, Dublin 10th – 14th April 2019. It will visit three regional locations throughout the rest of 2019 including Cork, Donegal and Westmeath. Details will be published shortly.

The Atlantic Philanthropies have been very supportive of this collaboration.
