Dementia

The HSE & Genio Dementia Programme, with support from the Atlantic Philanthropies, is developing and testing new service models which will improve the range and quality of community-based supports for people with dementia; inform public policy and investment in this area; and build the leadership necessary to capitalise on the potential of the National Dementia Strategy.

Mental Health

The Service Reform Fund (SRF) for Mental Health has been created by the Department of Health, the HSE and the Atlantic Philanthropies in collaboration with Genio to implement mental health service reform in Ireland. These reforms will focus on ensuring that person-centred and recovery-oriented services and supports are imbedded, in line with Government policy.

Disability

The aim of the Disability Programme is to accelerate the availability of cost-effective, individualised supports and services to enable people with disabilities to lead self-determined lives, as included and valued members of the community. This involves a move away from traditional, often expensive, services which group and segregate people focussing on their deficits rather than their strengths.

Homelessness

Our newest programme of work is in homelessness as part of the Service Reform Fund (SRF) lead by the HSE and currently in development with the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government. This programme will look at person-centred approaches which focus on drawing on available mainstream resources and supports within society.
